03 / A few helpful details
Before you head out.
Can I return my ballot by mail?
Mail return is available. Follow your ballot packet’s instructions and mail early. Confirm the current receipt deadline with your county elections office before relying on mail delivery: Salt Lake County mail guidance or Utah County Elections.
Which county should I choose?
Use the county where you are registered to vote. A city name alone may not identify your county—Draper, for example, spans both counties. Check your ballot packet or contact your county elections office if you are unsure.
Are drop boxes and early-voting sites the same?
They serve different purposes and may have different locations and hours. A drop box accepts your completed ballot. An early-voting site lets you vote in person during scheduled hours. Use the listings above for each option.
